I have downloaded the macintosh recovery software, everthink looks fine for recovering the volume, but for some strange reasons the applications suddenly quit? i have tested on a:Powerbook G4 under 10.4 en 10.5 same problemMacPro under 10.4 and 10.5Macbook Pro under 10.5I would like to recover a laCie big disk 4Gb totaly 1.8Tb.Because the program is not stable for some reasons i have tryed dataresque and that works fine.It's is a pitty that this program is not working as it shoot bee.ter info,Johan

Great software! I used this software after an external drive that I was using for Time Machine backup had failed. I tried everything to get the drive working again, but nothing worked. I downloaded this software and it ran for about 4 or 5 hours. Soon enough the drive appeared and mounted correctly. Now Im using the drive for back up again

Good recovery tool I have a Buffalo TeraStation II with 4 HDD 500GB.Lastweek 1 in 4 HDD was blank, all of my data lost.I used UFS Explorer Professional Recovery and founded all my data.

UFS Explorer Professional Recovery v3.12 I downloaded the 3.14 version in the hope that if it detected my files, I'd be happy to purchase it. However, a close friend had the 3.12 version (which he had bought a while back to recover data from his NAS & wasn't using anymore) and lent it to me. So, this review is really for the 3.12 version, and not the 3.14.Am very happy because it recovered every file that was important to me successfully. There were a few files/folders which came up with their properties not known completely, but I think I'm doing something wrong as I'm reading each disk individually ...

Didn`t work Tried running it under Wine in Ubuntu Intrepid Ibex and it didn't recognize any of my drives. Thanks anyway.

Waste of time and money Did the trial run and it showed me all the files it could recover, so I bought it and recovered the files. The files that were previously a collection of photos, videos, programs etc were all totally unusable as they were nothing more than text documents with a few ascii characters.

Looks good I tried your software out to see if it could recover deleted files from a USB disk (fat16). The software was run on a Windows2000 virtual machine using "qemu" on linux. It was run to view a copy of the fat16 partition as a disk image file.It appears to run correctly and restored a small deleted jpeg image as a test.It found a few other deleted files that were too large to restore with the demo licence. It also appeared to work on a NTFS disk image.Regards, David Boston

Disk Read Errors I experinced read errors when copying files from my Mac partition. In the end I had to use an alternative product.

TransMac review A good little program, meant I could salvage stuff quite easily from an iMac PPC G3 which recently had the power supply die on me. I think that in essence it works nicely. However I had sometimes stability issues, especially when dealing with larger files. I think also the GUI leaves a bit to be desired also.

Interface workflow First I'd like to say that TransMac worked perfectly and solved my problem 100%. I have the most minor of tweak requests:I would have preferred a stronger labeling of the PC and Mac input/output sections. Alternatively, a wizard GUI walkthrough could have worked. I'm imagining that most people who are doing such a conversion are pressed for time and want the most simplified GUI.
